Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts Extend Closing Dates
The spring ski season at Lake Tahoe promises to be epic. Truly, March came in like a Lion with an average of 8 feet of snow from the last blizzard. A new winter storm warning is calling for an additional 6″ to 12″ of snow above 4,000 ft. and the highest peaks could see up to two feet of fresh snow.
This year, St. Patrick’s Day falls on Sunday, March 17th. The quaint restaurants and pubs around Lake Tahoe are the perfect place to celebrate. The storms should be clearing out later this week to make spring skiing perfect for St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
By Thursday, temperatures start rising and the skies clear to full sun. Over the weekend, temperatures are in the 50s! Because of the new snowfall, some resorts have extended their closing dates.

We are expecting another year of excellent spring skiing to match what we experienced last year. Spring skiing at Lake Tahoe offers an opportunity to dress up in costumes, while enjoying the many après ski music venues at the different resorts.
