2025-2026 Ski Resort Season Passes
If you’re planning for a winter full of laps in North Lake Tahoe, it pays to get your season pass early. From Northstar’s Epic access to Sugar Bowl’s local student deals, here’s a breakdown of 2025–26 prices at the major ski areas.
Northstar California
Northstar, part of the Vail-owned family of resorts, runs on the Epic Pass system. For the 2025–26 season, an adult pass is priced at $1,075, while children (ages 5–12) pay $548. The pass unlocks access not just to Northstar but also to a huge network of Epic resorts across North America. For Tahoe skiers who like mixing up destinations, Epic can offer strong value. Palisades Tahoe
Home of the 1960 Winter Olympics, Palisades Tahoe is one of the region’s crown jewels – and its pricing reflects that. An adult Ikon Pass is $1,429, while young adult Ikon Pass is $1,089. They offer different pass prices with varying blackout dates and 3 and 4 day ski pass packages. For lifelong skiers: seniors 80 and up ski for free at Palisades, a standout perk unmatched by other local resorts. Click here for more information.
Homewood Mountain Resort
After sitting out a season, Homewood is back in action for winter 2025–26. The resort has priced its Unlimited Season Pass at $1,199 for adults, offering access with no blackout dates. While early chatter suggested a lower price (around $849), the official figure confirms Homewood is positioning itself in line with other mid-sized Tahoe resorts. The mountain also offers alternative products like a Value Pass and a Weekly 2-Day pass for those seeking lower-cost entry.
Sugar Bowl
Located right off the summit of I-80, Sugar Bowl continues to deliver one of the most varied pass menus in the region. The Unrestricted Pass runs $1,299 for adults, while a Slightly Restricted Pass drops that cost to $979 if you can skip a few blackout dates. For those who prefer weekday turns, the Midweek Pass costs $569, making it one of the most affordable unlimited options in Tahoe. Local students (K–12) get the biggest break, with passes just $199, underscoring the resort’s commitment to keeping skiing accessible.
Choosing the Right Pass
The right choice depends on how you ski. If you chase variety, the Epic Pass at Northstar or the Ikon Pass at Palisades may be worth the premium. If you’re loyal to Tahoe’s West Shore, Homewood’s $1,199 pass brings convenience and character. And if affordability is key, Sugar Bowl’s $979 restricted or $569 midweek passes pack plenty of value.
