Snowshoe Tours North Lake Tahoe
As we begin the New Year in Lake Tahoe, we have abundant snow at higher elevations. The Sierra Snowlab measured 11 inches after Wednesday’s storm. A storm over this weekend may bring additional snow to the base levels of the local ski resorts. In the meantime, snowshoeing through the forests can be a great winter sport that can be enjoyed with the entire family.
The Tahoe Adventure Company has kicked off its snowshoe tours for the 2024 winter season. From Full Moon treks to hikes into Castle Peak with incredible views, their knowledgeable guides will lead you on a fascinating journey.
They provide all necessary gear and offer a comprehensive lesson about snowshoeing through Tahoe’s peaceful and wintery forests.
On the Full Moon hikes, guests will travel by moonlight, while guides discuss natural history and astronomy topics as well as fascinating facts about the moon. There are frequent stops along the way to take in the beautiful views and enjoy snacks and hot drinks. This tour is popular with all levels, ages and abilities.
