Lake Tahoe Ski Leases and Long Term Rentals
Imagine having your own cabin as your winter base camp this ski season. With a 5-month ski-lease, you can bring your gear up for the season and have it waiting for your weekend getaways.
Over the last week, snow has returned to Lake Tahoe, with the upper mountains receiving about 5 inches, and an inch of snow at the lower elevations. More snow is forecast for the 2nd week of November.
Most of the ski resorts have snow-making capabilities. Many are scheduled to open the weekend prior to Thanksgiving for the 2024/2025 ski season. This includes Northstar and Palisades Tahoe.
What is a Ski Lease?
Our winter leases consist of a 5-month lease beginning December 2024, or a 4-month lease beginning on January 3, 2025.
We require a security deposit equal to one month’s rent, along with a signed lease to secure the home for the winter. The total rent is due 30 days prior to arrival along with estimated utility costs and snow removal service for the driveway. Gas and electric will be transferred into the tenant’s name during tenancy.
Estimated utility costs are: Cable, telephone, and internet are estimated at $245/month; driveway snow removal is estimated at $130-$200+/month (depending on the snow removal contractor); and hot tub service is estimated to be $140-$160/month. We also require a $55.00 deposit protection plan, covering up to $3,000 of accidental damages.
2024/2025 Ski Leases
The Balsam House is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home on a quiet street in the Pineland area. This home has level access and is equipped with a washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, electric range/oven, large stone fireplace and television with cable.
5-month ski lease available beginning December 6, 2024 until May 5, 2025. Rent $3500 per month.

This charming vintage west shore cabin has lots of charm and is nicely landscaped. Come stay at this 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with loft, that also includes a sunny sitting area. It’s close to Chambers Landing, Tahoma Market and Dog & Bear Tavern and has been recently refurbished and updated. This cabin offers a large living area with gas fireplace, Applebox flat screen TV, full kitchen, side deck with table, chairs and umbrella. There’s also another sitting area on the other side of the cabin.

Long Term Rental
If you are looking for a long-term rental, this 3 bedroom, loft, 2 bath cabin is perfect. It is located in the desirable Tahoe Park neighborhood, walking distance to the Lake. It has Tahoe Park’s private beach access, is unfurnished, and has parking for 3 vehicles during the winter months.
There’s an updated kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator, built-in microwave electric stove and a Bosch dishwasher. There’s also a stackable full-size washer/dryer. The house has a forced air heater, along with a gas fireplace in the living room. Deck on the front of the cabin and stone patio in the back with a shed. The shed has patio furniture and gas BBQ for your use during summer months. Metal garbage container as well.
